“Does this have the semi-glossy finish or the same heavy matte anti-glare finish on the LG monitor that looks bad? (What's the point of having an OLED monitor if they just put these hazy matte finishes on the screen ruining them?)”

It is a matte finish. But trust me the colors on this monitor out the box are fantastic. Almost similar the the Msi qdoled I had awhile back. I got used to the matte coating after playin in a g60sd. Which is a qdoled matte finish.
