A:Answerso the problem with this laptop is the armory crate software (the software that runs the gpu/cpu speeds and power take) that doesn't work properly so its almost random. Some days its lasted 7 hours while i was at school and others 2 hours. I would say yes you can use this for school but be weary about consistency, its almost embarrassing how poor ASUS's main software that's in every one of there laptops doesn't work right
