Yes, you can add up to 2TB in each M.2 slot for a total of 4TB of storage.

I have a 1TB coming in on Tuesday for the 2nd slot and will clone the system over to it to take advantage of the higher speeds. In terms of total storage, it depends how much you need and if you want to keep drive space under 50% capacity.
