The laptop is only available with 16GB RAM, it can be upgraded up to 48Gb. ASUS will honor the warranty as long as no physical or customer induced damage will occur during the upgrade. Yes, it can be shipped to US for warranty service. However, ASUS warranty only covers domestic shipping.
