I’m using it with a Surface Pro so I cannot assure the outcome in your case but have you tried using an A/C powered USB hub that allows data and power at the same time?

If you are not getting a video output signal, please verify if the Lenovo laptop meets the system requirements of the ZenScreen. If the latop does support the monitor, please install the most current chipset driver for the laptop and configure the monitor inside the Display properties.
