“I have a Lenovo T480 laptop and using the USB-C to USB-C cable I get no response that it recognizes the monitor. I bought an adapter from USB-C to USB-A and I get a message that the unknown device requires too much power. Drivers are installed.”

I’m using it with a Surface Pro so I cannot assure the outcome in your case but have you tried using an A/C powered USB hub that allows data and power at the same time?

If the latop does support the monitor, please install the most current chipset driver for the laptop and configure the monitor inside the Display properties.
