QuestionBase: check AC Power; hand sets no power at base. I have taken batteries out of handsets and unplugged the base at both ends. Waited 15 minutes and reinstalled batteries and plugged in base. Still same error message. What next??

- Answer 1. Go to (MENU/SELECT) button 2. Scroll down with the CID (CALLER ID) button till you get to (Answering sys) 3. Press the (MENU/SELECT) button when you do it will say (Announcement) 4. Scroll down with the CID (CALLER ID) button till you get to (Answer ON/OFF) 5. Press (MENU/SELECT) button it should say (ON) if it doesn't press the CID button till it does. THIS IS HOW YOU TURN YOUR SYSTEM ON OR OFF. 6. When it says (ON) press your (MENU/SELECT) button and your answering machine should be on. 7. Press (CANCEL/SELECT) to bring you back to your (HANDSET).
