That depends. We were having terrible ac hum problems on our old telephones. It wasn't any better with this telephone, either. Frontier wouldn't fix the problem. So, we switched to Xfinity Voice (VoIP) as the triple-play package was cheaper than Comcast Internet/TV and Frontier telephone. There is absolutely NO ac hum or static with these telephones with Xfinity Voice. This particular telephone system is noted as having really excellent range and it does. If you are having static and/or ac hum problems on a landline telephone, the telephone is unlikely to be able to fix it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Our phone is quite. Check out your current phone at a friends house that has a quite phone. The static could be on the phone lines to your house in which case a new phone will not help.
