- Answer My Mother isn't using the portable but my guess would be that if she has to use line 2 to use the phone that maybe you need to use line one for the portable. Or possibly, you have to use line 2 for both.

- Answer This is made for the USA - 120 V plug. You would need to convert it to use it, unless in an international marketplace you can find one set up with 220W.
