• It uses AA batteries, not a wall plug.

• The phone does not require power for it to work. There is no separate power cord or plug that comes with it. The line included with the phone is approximately 15 to 20 feet. I needed it located in a further away place, so I purchased a separate 50 foot line at Best Buy. It works perfectly.

• No, it does not require electricity from a wall outlet but It does require batteries for the LCD display (batteries not included). Cord is 7 feet according to product specs.
