Yes it will make a noise. It won’t harm the album but can’t be good on the needle if it is an extended time.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It continues to spin in the run out grove until you lift it off the record. You will hear static or some popping. Not sure about damage to the record, but the needle continues to wear while engaged.
