The turntable has a button you push that automatically moves the needle from the resting position to the record and then returns it to resting position upon completion of the record OR if you push the button again,

It’s does both, there’s a start button that will play automatically on the vinyl and another button to use manually to skip by holding the arm and placing the needle on the next track

Yes, it does both automatically & manual. Push the start button and the arm raises & lowers automatically or you can push the up button and it will raise the arm and then you move the arm over the record and then push the down button to lower the arm.

The arm can lift and lower automatically or you can choose to do it manually. There is a button on the lower, right corner on the front of the turntable to make your selection.
