• What you are hearing is known as needle talk and is normal. This is just the noise created by the mechanical interfacing of the stylus (needle) to the record surface.

• If it is connected to another device with the cable it will play on both that and the Bluetooth device. If faint sound is coming from the turntable itself it is the stylus on the record.
