Will this cartridge/headshell work on my MCS683-6500? It previously had a AT cartridge which was yellow but did not show any numbers. The turntable has no pre-amp and I have it paired with my Marantaz AVR.

You may use the AT-VM95C Cartridge on the existing MCS headshell, but we cannot confirm that the AT-VM95C/H Headshell/Cartridge combo Kit will work on the MCS tonearm. The provided counterweight would need to have the ability to counterbalance a total of 15.5 grams (combined headshell + cartridge weight).
