Check AT they do sell a 78 cartridge/shell. It is easy/peasy to change the shell, in fact there is a place on the base for an alternate shell/cartridge.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, everything about this unit is easy to do and I like how you can upgrade parts as you go. For instance, using your own amp instead of the built in pre-amp. Also, changing out the cartridges is easy enough with the locking sleeve they have on the arm.
