Look on the back of the turntable. There is a small switch. Make sure the volume is turned down and then flip the switch to the other position, This should fix your problem.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The switch should not be on phono if your Sony does not have phono inputs. Flip the switch over to the turntables built in preamp to use with standard RCA inputs.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not sure what analog outputs this turntable has. Sounds like: Not plugged in at amp/preamp to PHONO. Plugged in to line in with turntable switch to phono. Turntable switch in improper position or not fully engaged. Call Mfg. ask for tech support, I have heard they are very helpful.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Does the Sony Receiver have a phono or line inputs? My Sony has line, so I have the switch in the line position.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Use the "Line" instead of the "Phono" setting. Line puts the signal through the turntable's pre-amp and conditions it properly for the receiver. Note that the RIAA curve is applied in the pre-amp, which is what you want unless listening to records made before 1952.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
