• Yes, and yes. If you require a headset (headphone with built -in microphone) for gaming, however, consider the ATH-GL3 High-Fidelity Gaming Headset instead. It is excellent for both listening to music and gaming.

• I use the earphones for everything, including gaming. They provide good quality sound, have a nice long cord and are comfortable to wear (and are reasonably priced). They are perfect for someone who does not want to pay more for wireless earphones and worry about not always reliable Bluetooth connections.
