Yes it works well for me. It is a very nice turntable does a nice job converting vinyl records. Heavy and well built. All you need is a set of powered speakers or amp to connect to for listening while recording. Audacity software is included and works well for average user.

Includes Mac- and PC-compatible Audacity software. this what description said on site, I have not used it for converting MP3. but here some information; what was give in box, you get Audio RCA jacks and USB cable. and you get a DVD Software call Audacity Licensed under the GNU for burning MP3 on computer.
