“How well does this compare to a onboard soundcard with a built in amplifier?”

• The Dragonfly really shines when used on a laptop, tablet, or phone. If you have a desktop with a dedicated soundcard at 24bit, 48k and above resolution, then you have no need for it. Audioquest has brought top end audio to the mobile generation.

• It's a significant upgrade! Not only is the Dragonfly far superior compared to the computer's internal DAC, because the computer is a very noisy environment , electronically, taking the DAC out of the computer is a huge benefit.
