“How easily does this chair lean back? I don't want it to lean back unless I am actively pushing it backwards. I want to be able to rest in it and lean my weight against the back of the chair without the whole back of it automatically falling backwards.”

This chair leans back very easily. There isn't enough resistance to keep you upright if you were looking for something with just a little bit of give to lean on. Once you unlock the back, you'll need to lock it back into your desired position.
