• I haven't had any problems installing this on my stroage device and loading it into my system, on my motherboard. It working great on my computer system.

• Yes this also works on desktop applications long as there no other components in its way (cpu cooler, gpu/video card).

• Yes. I just installed one inside an Optiplex 7060 micro form factor. It had no trouble at all fitting inside of there so I would think it would have even less trouble fitting inside a full size desktop.
