I would get 1.(airpods) with 2.(catalyst airpods carrying case) and 3.(insignia’s apple airpods accessories) to fit his ear no matter what along with other goodies for your ear to keep them in place even make them have the beats style too :)

I just purchased these and I love them. Use the ear piece, it will keep them stationary. They are perfect for gym, outside, working in yard. When not using the ear bugs have magnet so they automatically hook back up for you. Cuts out background noise, the clarity is great. Hope this helps.
