They don’t sleep unless they are in the charging case. Even then mine still turn back on despite being firmly seated on the charging pins.

The phones go into low power mode and run in the background on your phone. If they don't disconnect, they will wake up when the phone rings.

The earphones have in ear detection so it will pair once you put them in your ear. I left the out of the case overnight, they should’ve remained in sleep mode due to inactivity but they were completely drained in the morning even though they were jut on my nightstand. Poor quality.
