I'm not sure, but they caused me a lot of issues with ear infections. There are several complaints online about this issue and some are saying that Apple will not acknowledge that there is a problem with them. Some are saying that it might be caused by the nano coating that helps keep them water and sweat resistant. It's a real bummer for me because I love everything about mine, but I can't wear them.
