It is not waterproof however it is water resistant.

Eh they are water RESISTANT. You can't go swimming with them, but if caught in the rain, heavy sweating or being splashed in the pool they will be fine. No submersion and I would think salt water would kill them. They have an IPX4 rating which means – Protects from splashing water, no matter the direction. ***If you want waterproof you need to find one rated IPX7.***

Nope, sweat proof. I worn my set in light rain and it was ok.
