There is a device that is a Bluetooth transmitter and it plugs into the standard audio jack found on your phone, treadmill, airplane etc. It will transmit wirelessly to your power beats. Best Buy carries such a device however there are cheaper options on amazon.

The earphones are connected to your Bluetooth enabled device not the treadmill or plane. If you want to watch the TV on the plane. Then yes you need a wired set of earphones to insert into the TV.

As long as you have a Bluetooth enabled device they can be used. My soul purpose of purchasing these earphones was for use when exercising. They take me to a different world while on my treadmill. You mentioned the word accepted. 

If the places you are going doesn’t allow wireless connection that different than having wireless capability. If you’re on a plane such as JetBlue, Southwest and Delta you can use wireless accessories like bluetooth headphones and keyboards during flight as long as any cellular service is deactivated. ...
