• The volume controls on the Urbeats3 only work on iOS devices like the iPhone, iPod, and iPad. They do not work on Android devices like the Samsung Galaxy S8. The middle play/pause button works fine with both android and iOS.

• I believe they work best through IOS not android. I use note8 and suffered the same issue

• These earphones are meant for iPhones, that is why the volume controls don't work on your Samsung. The middle button will work for any phone.

• I am using these with my Samsung Galaxy S7 and the volume control doesnt work with mine either. I can pause, make calls fines but not control volume. I have also used Skull Candys and Sonys with volume controls and they did not work the volume either. I think it could be an Android or Samsung issue.
