They will work with an android device, however the volume buttons on the chord will not. I'm not sure why this is. But the microphone DOES work.

Yes, i have the Android J7 Prime, the generic Galaxy version and it works just fine.

Yes but volume will not work. Answer incoming and disconnect works fine, also with lower grad phone cases, this jack will slip right in if needed to.

I have used these with my Samsung Galaxy Note 8 with no issues. I have only listened to music/podcasts though. I haven't needed to use the in-line mic yet.
