“When my phone is on the charger it keeps making the “ding” sound every few minutes - does that mean it’s trying to connect? It’s not charging very well. Thanks”

At first I had a similar problem. The charger would charge for a few seconds and then stop. At the time, it was plugged into a power strip. I found that moving it to the other end of the power strip solved the problem. You can tell it is charging by looking at the LED on top of the disk. When the LED is white, it is charging. When mine stopped charging after a few seconds, the LED turned orange.
