Hi, Hannah. The pad is on stand up position only. However, you can either charge your device in either landscape or portrait mode.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The black stand doesn’t lay down flat and is permanent in how it’s positioned. The phone is either propped up vertically or horizontally while charging. It’s a pretty decent device.
