• I'm not sure about a 7 Plus, but I have an 8 Plus with an Otter box and it works just fine.

• Unfortunately no, the only way an iPhone 7 plus or earlier model will work with a wireless charger is with a Qi compatible case. The first iPhone that was equipped for wireless charging is the iPhone 8. There are Qi compatible cases for the iPhone 7 plus available that are very inexpensive and provide comparable protection as your Otterbox. Hope this helps
