• Hi! The charger will only work with the official MagSafe cases and it shouldn’t affect the charging rate.

• You need a MagSafe case for it to stick with a case on, optionally you can buy a MagSafe ring that sticks to the back if the case is super thin like the body glove case. The charging rate will be slightly reduced depending on the thickness of the case you use. It might take 10 - 15 minutes longer with a case vs without from dead to full.
