I use an "HB Tune" armband and I do NOT have to remove from case.

yes, you do. It is a very snug fit. I have a minimalist case that is just a piece of clear soft plastic that goes over my iPhone, and there is no way that I could get it into it's spot. Even with the bare phone, it is still a pain to get them out. Especially if you have been out running, or exercising and sweat and humidity are present

Everytime I use the armband, I have to remove my case. Case definitely adds bulk, could be solved by a smaller case perhaps.
