• It should need about 10 hours to charge and then after that rarely needs to be charged again as long as you close the case after each time you're finished using it.

• You might have a bad keyboard. Mine only takes a few hours. I have never had that problem.

• Hi, Melannie. The Belkin QODE Ultimate Keyboard Case requires approximately 2.5 hours of charging for first-time use. The keyboard will be in standby mode after 10 seconds of inactivity. This will prevent draining the battery's power.
