• No, this is not because the cable is limited. The cable is capable of outputting a 4K resolution at 60hz. The problem comes from Samsung restriction the capabilities of dex by limiting it to outputting a maximum of 1080p. Very unfortunate, I know, but Apple also has this restriction and at least Samsung has optimized their devices for use on monitors. iOS and iPad OS are not at all optimized for this.
