“Is there some trick to using this? I plugged it into a power source, no light on the device to indicate a charge or not a charge and when I sit my iPhone on the pad, nada??? Not charging anything? Does it have to charge first for 24 hrs. or what?? HELP!”

Yours might be defective, I plugged mine in set my phone on the pad and it started to charge my phone right away. Hope this helps you.
