Yes , it’s faster than the oven . I usually set 400 to cook chicken for 12 min , salmon 18 min ( I like it being brown ), bake small potatoes 20 min .

I've found it works faster than an oven for some things - especially when it comes to pre-heating simply because of the dimension differences- smaller space = quicker heating. Most recipes are similar though in the amount of time it takes to heat but from my experiences, I think the air fryer is generally faster.

Yes! I have made tater tots in the time it takes to preheat my conventional oven.You can reheat foods in 5 minutes,while recapturing their crispiness.....such as.pizza,chicken tenders. I can also fry bacon in my air fryer 12 minutes at 390 degrees,turning twice.,in a single layer.I have found a recipe for air fryed doughnuts I want to try.I have made pork chops in 26 minutes,turning once,single layer.Crisp on outside,juicy inside.

The air fryer is like having a mini conduction convection oven. So yes, it works faster than a regular oven and even faster than a conduction convection oven because of its size.

It depends on what you are cooking but typically if you’re frying chicken it would be 15 minutes on each side. Pretty much the same if you were oven frying without heating up the kitchen.

Personally I think the cook time is shorter for the air fryer because of the preheating you need to do with an oven. Cook time also depends on how much u put in the basket as well. But like I said in my personal opinion the air fryer has a shorter cooking time

Yes, it does. Remember that in an over you have to wait for it to preheat to cook at the chosen temp. In an air fryer, there is no preheating--it heats up quickly! However, there is some trial and error involved as you learn how to cook your favorites in it. If you are cooking a larger meal however, that will take more time.
