“Can I not use this directly on my marble countertop? Why do the instructions refer to plastercizers and staining/discoloring counters? Can someone clarify?”

• Mardle and other stone or faux countertops will burn at high temperatures. The plastic is an attempt to protect surfaces below the toaster, but an additional tray or heat sink is best.

• If you got it seal good , it shouldn’t be a problem. Coffee and coke could stain if it’s there to long

• Sorry don’t know I use mine on Formica counter top an have no problem. I miss my push button on my old toaster to pop the toast up when I want. Lol
