“So...how much does this thing effectively cook in a batch? Say, for example, you're cooking french fries...is this effective for a pound of potatoes, a half pound of potatoes or ???.”

• I don't this it cooks up more than 1/4 pound.

• Weight is not an issue, so much as how much space is taken up inside the basket. The problem is that as you load more into the basket, it reduces the air circulation. This means both that you have to extend the cooking time and that even with more time, you won't get results as good as you might with a less heavily loaded basket (less crispy skin, for instance).
