“can I buy a gift card in Canadian currency? I have a US best buy gift card but I don't have a visa to go there and spend it... And the bestbuys here in Canada can not change the US gift card to Canadian currency, pls help :(”

However gift cards cannot be used on all merchandise within the store whereas a Visa or MasterCard gift card can we used to purchase any item within the store.

However Best Buy gift cards cannot be used to purchase all the products contained within the store. There are restrictions just like other gift cards from other companies. Whereas with a Visa or MasterCard gift card there are no restrictions
