I would unplug everything from it completely. I would give it a solid minute. Plug everything back in see if that changes anything. If not depending on the age. Best buy may assist or the manufacturer.

After unplugging everything and checking the connections and cables, I found that I used the wrong USB-A to USB-B cable (from another device) and so I connected the correct cable and now everything is working just fine. So, lesson learned is that you need to use the supplied cable for this USB hub because any other USB-A to USB-B cable won't work properly. Thanks.
