• If your computer has a Mini DisplayPort, this cable should work. If your computer does not have a Mini DisplayPort, this cable will not work.

• I have a mid-2013 macbook air. you should buy this cord if you have a mDP, which is a certain port on your device. look up what an mDP looks like if you don’t know and if there is one on your iMac. An Asus monitor should have 2 HDMI ports so all you need to check is if the iMac has a mDP
