“Will this work from an HDMI on laptop to type c docking station to have multiple screens?”

• There is a tag on the cord that says, 'directional, plug this end (USB-C) into source'. It was meant to go from a PC's USB-C to a monitor's HDMI. I suspect plugging the HDMI into the PC won't work.
