• Hello Kirby, to produce high-quality audio, the blue Yeti microphone must be near you. The microphone should be between six and twelve inches from your mouth. If you want to record high-quality audio files, this is the best distance. If you need to go longer than twelve inches, you can turn up the gain, but the audio quality will diminish the higher the gain. Thank you, have a great day. -Ricky from Logitech
