It literally will pick up a pin dropping in the other side of the house. If you turn it all the way up that is and you have the right recording computer device whatever you're using. But in my opinion I use a Macbook and it will literally pick up every single sound there is

Hi Harry, The Yeti USB Condenser Microphone will pick up live music well in a Zomm Zumba class.  I would suggest using the Stereo setting for this.
