Hello Em! Condenser microphones like the Snowball iCE USB Microphone are really meant to gather the full sound experience of what's in front of them, to replicate a clear audio experience on camera. Some mics offer different pickup patterns, so you're be able do direct on which side of the mic the sound is gathered from, but in your case, Cardioid mode (where the mic picks up sound from the front) is probably best, and that's the mode already offered with the Snowball iCE. One option I could suggest you, is considering the regular Snowball over the Snowball iCE, and the reason for that is that the regular Snowball has a Cardioid mode with a -10dB pad, which reduces the mic sensitivity so even the loudest sounds come in crystal clear and distortion free, that could possibly help in your case. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't know if you have solved this problem, but that can be a tough one. You have to isolate the keyboard. A piece of felt under the keyboard would probably help. Your best bet may be an audio program that has noise canceling. Also, consider where you are recording. Hard surfaces such as walls, windows, desk tops and so on reflect noise that the mic picks up. Covering these surfaces with something like curtains can help.
