Hello lpm, The Omnidirectional setting that you would be using for your conference call with the Snowball gives you a lush 360-degree audio. How the microphone reacts in a particular application will differ depending on sound source, orientation and distance from sound source, room acoustics and other factors. To help facilitate setting this up, download the Blue Sherpa software which will allow you to customize settings like Mic Gain.
