I have been with mine for almost a year, and the filter still looks great. The filter overall has a fabric outside that also traps a bunch of dust, before making it to the real filter. So it will take a while to fill out. But of course it depends on which type of house you live in. I mean, for example, if you have a chimney and you turn it on every day, there are more particles in your house, so maybe you will have to change it more often.
