To answer your question... There is no vent. Bosch traps the steam which is used to help dry your dishes, seeing as there is no electric heating element. If you open the door after it's done, (Warning!!! Really Hot Steam bath!!) who'll find the steam/ heat collected is doing its job. This actually does work and saves energy. Hope this helped.
