Yes, this dishwasher smells like the inside of a tire store. I've had mine for several weeks and the smell has lessened only slightly. I ran it empty several times when I first got it but it still had a very bad smell - like burning rubber tires

It has lessened in the last ten months since we bought it and have used it almost daily, but has not gone away completely. They've sent two different repair companies and they can find nothing wrong with it. One said he thought it is the rubber insulation on the outside heating up, so hopefully it's nothing dangerous. I'm sensitive to smells and find it pretty noxious. When it was new it filled up the whole kitchen (which granted is fairly small) and I didn't even want to be in there. Now I just can't stand right next to it after it's been running a while. Repair person #3 coming soon, but I suspect they won't have a solution either.
